Configuring GitHub for OAuth tokens

Learn how to establish a connection between your HashBrown instance and a GitHub app

Setting up your GitHub app

Go to this page and create a new OAuth app. Take note of the Client ID and Client Secret fields once you've created it.

Make sure to set the callback URL to this:

/plugins/github/oauth/end

The config file

All you have to do to start using GitHub OAuth tokens is fill out the details in the config file located at:

/config/plugins/github.cfg

The format of this file is as follows:

{
    // The client id
    "clientId": "yourclientidhere",

    // The client secret
    "clientSecret": "yourclientsecrethere",
}

Make sure to restart HashBrown after you've filled in these details.
